Position Overview:

The Pest Management Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and welfare of our poultry. This position is responsible for upholding the highest standards of ethical treatment and care for our chickens while also maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify pest issues and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Maintain detailed records of monitoring activities and actions taken.
  • Apply pest control solutions using various methods to effectively eliminate infestations.
  • Identify and assess pest species, including rodents and insects.
  • Set traps and strategically place bait to manage pest populations.
  • Safely dispose of any deceased animals post-extermination.
  • Evaluate properties for potential pest entry points and take appropriate actions.
  • Clear blockages to facilitate effective pest control measures.
  • Utilize protective gear during the application of pesticides and other chemicals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations regarding animal welfare and pest management.
  • Manage inventory of pest control supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: Previous experience with poultry preferred.

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and possess agility for various tasks.
