Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Medical Ophthalmic Scribe to join our team at Vitreous Retina Macula Consultants of New York PC.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality documentation of patient interactions, assisting physicians with medical records, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompany physicians into exam rooms to transcribe patient histories and examination results
  • Document patient information, including chief complaints, physician assessments, and treatment plans
  • Assist with procedural sets and ensure accurate charting of examinations
  • Summarize exam details and update patient electronic charts
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

  • Experience as a medical scribe, preferably in ophthalmology or retina
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of eye anatomy, retina disease, and ocular medications
  • Basic to advanced computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
