Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide secretarial, receptionist, and clerical support to our healthcare team, maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor at all times.
  • Accurately transcribe physician's orders, utilizing your knowledge of medical terminology and attention to detail.
  • Schedule, request, or communicate necessary patient information, adhering to hospital privacy policies.
  • Operate and maintain unit equipment and software applications, ensuring efficient and effective use.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support hospital policy and promote patient safety.
  • Assist nursing staff with delegated tasks, supporting the patient experience and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Greet and assist visitors, answering their inquiries and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to phone calls and requests efficiently, providing friendly, courteous, and professional service.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of secretarial experience in a healthcare setting, preferred.
  • Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility, and department/unit, specific to the needs of the patient population served.
