Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Government Reimbursement Specialist to join our team at Prime Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and understanding various government reports, as well as supporting their audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze government reports, including cost reports and Medicare and Medicaid reports
  • Assist in understanding the main sections of cost reports and evaluate the accuracy of the entire report
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Medicare rules and regulations, including Medicare DSH, Medicare bad debts, charity, and hospital bad debts
  • Work with hospital GL and patient accounting systems, including Lawson, EPIC, and Meditech
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in creating or supporting cost reports
  • Experience in preparing and completing entire Medicare and Medicaid cost reports, preferably for a multi-state hospital system
  • Strong analytical skills and resourceful
  • Experience working with hospital GL and patient accounting systems
  • Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Knowledge of financial statement and patient account systems

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $92,081.60 to $135,158.40 on an annualized basis.
