Job Summary

Lifeways Inc is seeking a qualified mental health professional to join our team. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing individualized case management to clients, making appropriate referrals, and providing some individual and group counseling and education and support to clients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs and function level under general supervision.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for clients, including delivery of appropriate services as defined in the detailed treatment plan.
  • Act as liaison and provide consultation, education, and information to community agencies that routinely come in contact with individuals with mental or emotional disturbances.
  • Screen clients for program eligibility and conduct comprehensive evaluations resulting in a DSM IV diagnosis.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling or equivalent experience.
Requirements
  • M.A. degree plus two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hold appropriate CADC licensure or receive the credential/license within 36-months of application.
  • Knowledge of regulations and laws governing mental health, behavioral, and addiction services, ethics, confidentiality, privacy, and other related areas.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
