Job Title: CT Scan Technologist

We are seeking a dedicated and professional CT Scan Technologist to join our healthcare team at NavitsPartners.

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting CT imaging procedures while maintaining patient safety, adhering to established protocols, and providing excellent patient care.

Schedule Options:

  1. 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
  2. 37.5 hours per week (including daily lunches); primarily 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, with some weekends, holidays, and one on-call shift per month (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
  3. 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM (three 12-hour shifts); call rotation required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for procedures, following protocols.
  • Maintain sterility of instruments and the field.
  • Prepare requisitions correctly and communicate with patients and families to ensure comfort and understanding throughout procedures.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and respect patient privacy.
  • Verify patient identification and ensure the availability of relevant medical records, labs, and history.
  • Monitor patients before and after contrast injections, reporting any changes in condition to nursing staff and the Radiologist.
  • Respond to emergencies as needed during procedures.
  • Maintain adequate supplies and cleanliness of CT rooms, contrast media, and biopsy/drainage materials.
  • Assist in room assignments and maintaining the storeroom and inventory.
  • Participate in daily inventory checks and notify supervisors of expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications.
  • Clean CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use.
  • Perform Point staff duties, triaging procedures based on the daily schedule, coordinating emergency and unscheduled procedures, and assigning staff as needed to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Assist with routine procedures, assess patient tolerance for contrast, and screen for allergies/medication incompatibilities.
  • Ensure that imaging systems, including PACS/RIS, are used correctly, especially for emergency cases like Code Grey and Trauma.
  • Notify Radiologists immediately of any unusual findings for prompt patient care.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations and maintain a clean and organized working environment
  • Experience with PACS/RIS systems, CT protocols, and venipuncture procedures

Education & Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of a Radiographer Technical Training Program from an accredited School of Radiography or College-based Radiography Program

Required Certifications:

  • ARRT RT (R)
  • ARRT RT (CT)
  • NJDEP – New Jersey State X-Ray License
  • BLS Certification
