Job Title: CT Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Pyramid Consulting, Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing CT scans, maintaining patient safety and comfort, and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT scans following established protocols and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Obtain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for procedures.
  • Maintain sterile fields and instruments during procedures.
  • Prepare requisitions correctly and communicate with patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and respect patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Verify patient identification according to facility policy and observe patients before and after contrast injections.
  • Ensure medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history are available for review.
  • Initiate emergency responses in case of complications during procedures.
  • Maintain adequate linen, contrast media, biopsy, and drainage supplies in each scanning room.
  • Assist in the maintenance of CT storerooms and outside inventory.
  • Notify Lead or Supervisor of expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications.
  • Clean and maintain the CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use.
  • Triage procedures and ensure timely coordination of emergency and unscheduled requests.
  • Coordinate with other departments and ensure patient transport post-procedure.
  • Screen patients for allergies and medication incompatibilities and assess their ability to tolerate contrast.
  • Maintain QA/QC standards and ensure compliance with daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.
  • Recognize and report unusual conditions in equipment operation and assist with troubleshooting malfunctions.
Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • ARRT RT (CT) certification
  • ARRT RT (R) certification
  • NJDEP - New Jersey State X-Ray License
  • Strong understanding of CT scanning equipment and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain patient privacy and handle sensitive information
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Prior experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
  • BLS/ACLS certification
  • Familiarity with venipuncture and contrast injection protocols
