Salary$80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionAs a Weekend Registered Nurse for our hospice program, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and timely delivery of end-of-life care for patients after regular business hours. This includes evening, nighttime, and weekend shifts. You will triage patient needs over the phone until a nurse can provide an in-person visit, respond to crisis calls, and make initial nursing evaluations to determine eligibility for hospice services.
You will also perform after-hours visits, including admission visits, death visits, recertification visits, and routine visits. Your primary focus will be on identifying patient/family physical, psychosocial, emotional, and environmental needs and reassessing them as needed.
You will document problems, appropriate goals, interventions, and patient/family response to hospice care. Experience and expertise in hospice care are essential for this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications- One year of clinical experience in hospice care or a related field.
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice and one year of clinical experience.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
