  • Scheduling and Coordination
    • Efficiently schedule appointments for physicians and physician assistants to optimize patient satisfaction and provider time.
    • Confirm appointments prior to the date of service and verify insurance coverage.
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist patients with copayments, billing questions, and other administrative tasks.
    • Retrieve patient files, verify information, and update records as needed.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance
    • Maintain the confidentiality of patient medical, personal, and financial information.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding patient data protection.
  • Office Operations
    • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients.
    • Participate in emergency situations, summoning assistance as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience working as a medical receptionist (dermatology experience strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, compassionate disposition.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and maintain effective systems for timely patient flow.
  • Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records.
