Audiology Specialist

This is a one-year temporary position that offers a unique opportunity to work under the direct supervision of a licensed Audiologist. The successful candidate will provide diagnostic evaluation of the auditory and vestibular systems, assess the neurological status of adults and children, and provide direction and counseling on hearing loss prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services related to identified audio-vestibular disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Under direct supervision, provide diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory and balance problems.
- Conduct research related to hearing and balance-related disorders.
- Routinely physically and otoscopically examine the outer structures of the ear.
- Make appropriate medical referrals and referrals for hearing aids.
- Participate in cochlear implant assessments and mapping.
- Conduct electrophysiologic evaluations of the vestibular and auditory mechanisms.
- Perform electroacoustic measures of the peripheral and central auditory systems.
- Counsel individuals with auditory disorders, their families, and other service providers regarding the etiology of the disorder and its management.
- Provide reports and coordinate audiological results with other diagnostic data such as educational, medical, social, and behavioral information.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Completion of three (3) years in a doctoral-level audiology program or two (2) years in an accelerated doctoral-level audiology program required.
- Audiology Required Professional Experience License - Temporary (California) required at hire.
