We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Diagnostic Audiologist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic evaluations of the auditory and vestibular systems, as well as assessing the neurological status of adults and children. Under the direct supervision of the Audiology Coordinator, you will provide direction, counseling on hearing loss prevention, habilitation and/or rehabilitation services related to identified audio-vestibular disorders.
Essential Responsibilities:- Conduct diagnostic evaluations of hearing, prevention, habilitation and rehabilitation services for auditory and balance problems.
- Conduct research related to hearing and balance related disorders. Routinely physically and otoscopically examine the outer structures of the ear. Make appropriate medical referrals and referrals for hearing aids. Participate in cochlear implant assessments and mapping. Conduct electrophysiologic evaluations of the vestibular and auditory mechanisms.
- Perform electroacoustic measures of the peripheral and central auditory systems. Counsel individuals with auditory disorders, their families and other service providers regarding the etiology of the disorder and its management. Provide reports and coordinate audiological results with other diagnostic data such as educational, medical, social, and behavioral information.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Completion of three (3) years in a doctoral level audiology program or two (2) years in an accelerated doctoral level audiology program required.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
