Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated ESS Service Technician to become a vital part of our team at BYD COACH & BUS LLC. In this role, you will take charge of the commissioning processes for the Energy Storage System (ESS), while also engaging in modifications and repairs of both mechanical and electrical systems. Your expertise in troubleshooting, testing, and servicing equipment will be essential to ensure everything operates at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble each phase of the ESS in accordance with established protocols.
  • Conduct servicing, reworking, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing of equipment.
  • Identify issues and effectively communicate solutions to clients and team members.
  • Interpret schematics and adhere to engineering documentation during installations.
  • Employ hand tools, power tools, meters, and other necessary equipment.
  • Manage materials such as fiberglass, plastics, composites, and aluminum.
  • Install and maintain cooling systems.
  • Follow safety protocols and consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, necessary skills, and precision.
  • Update team members on changes, progress, and make informed decisions as required.
  • Balance responsibilities between team collaboration and individual tasks.
  • Adapt to evolving work conditions and follow managerial guidance.
  • Embrace organizational values and contribute positively to the workplace culture.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned, including reworks.
Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Previous experience in a comparable role is advantageous, and the ability to fulfill essential job functions is critical. Key attributes for success include adaptability, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to safety.

Work Environment:

This position involves working in diverse settings, including indoor environments and occasionally at elevated heights. The noise level may be elevated, and physical demands include sitting, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and utilizing various hand and power tools. Travel Requirements:
