Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical General Foreman to join our team at nVent. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical labor on construction job sites, ensuring the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Installation: Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and wiring diagrams to apply electrical theory to practical applications.
  • High-Voltage Equipment Maintenance: Work on and around high-voltage energized equipment, installing various types of electrical conduit systems according to NEC standards.
  • Unit Electrical/Maintenance Practices: Follow all established electrical and maintenance practices to ensure the integrity of electrical systems.
  • Manufacturing Environment: Work in a manufacturing environment, including climbing stairs and catwalks, and operating in extreme heat and cold weather conditions.
  • Rotating Shifts: Work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as operating conditions require.
  • Safety Protocols: Observe all safety rules and regulations, wearing personal protective equipment as required.
  • Document Interpretation: Read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and coordinate activities of journeymen and helpers, ensuring efficient and safe work practices.
  • Time Entry: Responsible for accurate time entry sheets.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Certifications: NCCER certifications preferred but not required.
  • Licenses: Minimum Journeyman, Master Electrician, or equivalent license required (any state).
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
  • Skills: Motivated self-starter, capable of working independently and efficiently; ability to write legible, routine correspondence and speak effectively with management and other employees.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of industrial electricity issues and ability to work well within teams.
  • Travel: 90% travel to job sites around the country.
