Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be recognized as a technical authority in various aspects of application and systems engineering.
Your role will involve making design suggestions based on the long-term IT strategy and providing insights on the integration of applications throughout the organization.
You will be responsible for defining specifications, planning, designing, and developing essential software solutions, employing suitable software engineering methodologies—either independently or collaboratively with the product team.

- Coaching Engineers: Mentor less experienced team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Recruiting/Building Talent: Engage with the tech community to enhance the Genesis10 brand.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in engineering environments, translating abstract concepts into detailed software engineering plans.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.
- Proficient in version control practices and systems design concepts.
- Expertise in debugging and analyzing product defects.
- Advanced knowledge of database querying for complex data operations.
Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Java 17, Spring Boot 2-3, REST and SOAP APIs, Kafka connectors, GitHub Actions, Terraform, RabbitMQ, DynamoDB, Openshift, Azure AD, HashiCorp Vault, JSON, and YAML.
Architectural Knowledge:
Expertise in event-driven architecture, pub/sub models, and microservices. Familiarity with GraphQL is advantageous.
Monitoring Tools:
Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, ELK, or Swarmia.
Software Tools:
Proficient in Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence.
Compensation:
