At Vizient, Inc., we are seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Senior Supplier Partnership Development Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing relationships with new supplier business prospects and recruiting new supplier members representing significant size and revenue.

This position is ideal for an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of success in the healthcare industry. If you have a strong ability to build relationships with internal team members and external customers, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify appropriate supplier prospects and cultivate meaningful relationships with targeted new member organizations across pharmaceutical, medical device, life science and purchased services supplier organizations.
  • Maintain and grow new member and existing member supplier relationships, serving as sales lead; accountable for sales activities that are measured on bookings and include established executive relationships.
  • Create and deliver high-quality, persuasive sales presentations to C-suite and other supplier business teams.
  • Prospect, assess, and interpret intelligence and portfolio developments on new and existing supplier members.
  • Generate new supplier strategic sales and maintain assigned current member revenue.
  • Facilitate and ensure timely delivery of contracting and contract implementation through liaison with supplier members and Sg2/Vizient legal teams.
  • Develop robust pipelines to achieve sales plans while generating additional existing member add-on sales of analytic tools and consulting.
  • Drive new member recruitment and business development.
  • Maintain records for all assigned members, including contact information, key activity documentation, and active opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal team members and external customers required.
  • Proven track record of success in sales within the healthcare industry required
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - both written and oral. Ability to develop, promote, and communicate a vision.
  • Willingness to travel.
