Division Overview

Crown's Food Division is the world's largest manufacturer of food cans, serving a variety of markets including fruit, vegetables, dairy, fish, meat, ready meals, pet food, infant milk powder, and other dry food products. We offer a wide range of food cans, from round to bowl-shaped, and are dedicated to excellence in all aspects of our business.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in the Food Division. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes, as well as maintaining quality and safety standards. The successful candidate will work closely with our eight manufacturing facilities and will be required to travel approximately 60-80% of the time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes to meet product requirements and improve efficiency
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Collaborate with outside sources to design and produce tooling as needed
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information to support business operations
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum of five years of manufacturing experience in positions of increasing responsibility
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in high-speed metal packaging, Six Sigma certification, and technical competencies in SPC, Six Sigma, 5S, SMED, and Lean Manufacturing
