Position:
Staff Drilling Engineer SME (Preference is for candidates local to Houston, TX, or surrounding areas).
Position is 100% remote in the US with monthly requirements for travel to client sites, public relation events, etc.

Position in the future may require working from our company office as much as twice per week, so strong preference is given to candidates already located in Houston.

Role is open to US Citizens/Permanent Residents only.

Role:
Staff Drilling Engineer SME will be part of our SME team that works directly with our clients as advisors to deliver better wells

Responsibilities:
Proactively develop a comprehensive understanding of client's business objectives and priorities. Anticipate customer's needs to deliver new insights on their wells.

Develop compelling value propositions and insights from data analysis for customers to help them drill and deliver better wells consistently.

Must be technically solid as a drilling engineer to properly advise clients.
Present value on company products to end users via recommendations for drilling efficiency/optimization.

Proactively coordinate with our Real-Time Operations Center (RTOC) as Project Manager for respective clients to ensure best Data Quality at all times.

Build client relationships and conduct wellbeing status calls on a regular basis with client Drilling Engineers, Engineering Supervisors, Managers, Champions, and other stakeholders.

Facilitate initial onboarding and ongoing training of client users.

Requirements:
10+ years as a

Drilling Engineer in E&P

drilling wells in US onshore required.
3+ years as a Completions Engineer in onshore unconventional basins planning and executing multi-well pad fracs required.
3+ years working at SLB, Halliburton, WFT, BHI a plus.
7+ years of proficiency with MS Word, MES Excel, MS PowerPoint.
Petroleum Engineering degree required. MBA is a plus.
Ability to meet face-to-face with clients on a monthly basis and engaging in technical discussions.
