Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to contribute to our oncology team's mission to deliver exceptional patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering targeted radiation treatments to patients with cancer and other conditions. You will work closely with the oncology team to ensure each patient receives safe, accurate, and empathetic care. Your ability to combine technical expertise with exceptional patient interaction will be key to improving the health and comfort of our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the oncology team to provide personalized radiation therapy
  • Explain the radiation treatment process to patients and address any concerns or questions they may have
  • Administer radiation therapies as outlined in patient-specific treatment plans, ensuring precision and safety
  • Utilize advanced medical imaging equipment to ensure the accurate delivery of radiation
  • Monitor patient reactions to treatments, providing advice on managing side effects and offering supportive care
  • Monitor patient progress and suggest modifications to treatment plans in collaboration with the oncology team as needed
  • Offer ongoing support and reassurance to patients and their families throughout the treatment process
  • Conduct regular quality assurance tests on simulation and treatment machines to ensure they are operating effectively and safely
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy
  • Proven experience working as a Radiation Therapist
  • Strong technical proficiency in operating medical imaging and radiation equipment
  • Critical thinking skills to manage treatment plans and patient needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Precise hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach when interacting with patients, while maintaining professionalism
