Radiation Oncology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiation Therapy Specialist to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our Radiation Oncology department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cancer treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely, following departmental policies and procedures.
- Position and immobilize patients according to treatment plans and evaluate images according to standard guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in clinical instruction and evaluation of Radiation Therapy students.
- Perform daily QA measures to ensure proficient operation of imaging and treatment equipment.
- Assist in developing new techniques and emerging technology projects.
- Rotates to other treatment areas as directed by the Chief and Lead Radiation Therapists.
- May be required to demonstrate basic knowledge and skills in one or more specialty areas and programs.
- Knowledge of all equipment, accessories, treatment policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to contingency plans.
- May be required to travel to network satellite clinics.
