We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner to join our dynamic team at Aqua Finance, Inc., with a primary focus on payroll processing, benefits administration, and leave management. In this role, you will be a key liaison between HR and our employees, ensuring that payroll is processed accurately and on time, benefits are effectively managed, and leave policies are administered in compliance with company standards and regulations. Your expertise will help foster a positive workplace culture while supporting our employees' needs and contributing to overall organizational success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal standards and reduce risks related to daily management of employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Execute accurate and timely payroll processing, including calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits, while maintaining confidentiality of employee information.
  • Handle benefit administration, including open enrollment, new hire enrollment, life event changes, monthly and year-end reporting, and maintenance.
  • Manage and oversee the administration of employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations, while providing timely communication and support to employees throughout the process.
  • Partner with business units to successfully deploy human capital management practices that are aligned with the overall business priorities.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and leadership, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, payroll, benefits, leave management, and employment law.
  • Support all aspects of the Human Resources function as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or commensurate work experience required.
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources in progressively elevated roles required.
  • SHRM or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Financial industry experience preferred.
  • Expertise in areas of employment law and regulation associated with organizational responsibility required.
  • Working knowledge of Human Capital Management Systems required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
