Omm IT Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Tableau Server Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Tableau Server infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Performance Optimization: Monitor the performance of reports and dashboards, and take corrective action to optimize and improve dashboard performance as necessary.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with the BI Team and other stakeholders to troubleshoot issues with Tableau dashboards, assist with design and data development issues, and provide training and support to end users.
- Server Administration: Run cleanup and create Tableau Server backups, enforce Tableau Server Security Policies, and partner with the infrastructure team to troubleshoot and resolve network/windows Server related issues.
- Backup Server Administrator: Serve as backup Server Administrator to install and deploy new versions of Tableau software across all lifecycle environments.
- Task Scheduling and Monitoring: Create/Modify/Manage Tableau Server Task Schedules, and monitor Tableau Server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements.
- Technical Skills: 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, and 8+ years of demonstrated design and development skills using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
- Installation and Configuration: 3+ years of demonstrated installation, configuration, and administrative support of Tableau or above.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
- Required Skills: Hands-on experience with Tableau Server configuration and maintenance of project, group security, and permissions, installing and deploying new versions of Tableau software across all lifecycle environments, building complex reports, dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations using Tableau, and experience in the creation and use of visualizations and conducting data analysis.
- Tableau Prep: Working knowledge of Tableau Prep.
- Advanced SQL Queries: Experience writing advanced SQL queries and designing data models in Greenplum, Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and DB2.
- Requirement Elicitation and Documentation: Experience in requirement elicitation and documentation.
- Validation and User Acceptance Testing: Experience conducting validation and/or user acceptance testing.
