Cyber Security Analyst Job Description

At Peerless Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for performing cybersecurity risk management framework (RMF) analysis, risk mitigation control implementation, and overall risk management and related cyber security activities required by legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement high-level security requirements, including those related to laws, regulations, and presidential directives.
  • Support an AF program through analysis and mitigation of cybersecurity risks.
  • Integrate cybersecurity requirements across multiple systems and/or programs.
  • Develop and/or maintain multiple system security plans, security control plans, program protections plans, or other miscellaneous security-related documentation.
  • Resolve integration issues related to the implementation of new systems and/or support equipment with the existing infrastructure.
  • Review proposed new systems, software, hardware, support equipment, etc. for potential security risks.
  • Stay current on Information Technology (IT) security trends and news.
  • Manage various RMF authorizations, including Interim Authorization to Test (IATT), Authorization to Operate, and multiple connection authorizations required for testing and integration.
  • Perform security analysis, auditing, and compliance verification for multiple systems.
  • Manage Clinger Cohen Act (CCA) and federal budget reporting requirements via USAF specific repositories.
  • Manage multiple Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) records, which includes all security controls, supporting artifacts, and any applicable Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).

  • Ability to maintain positive and productive working relationships with various individuals and groups.
  • Ability to recognize and initiate tasks without direction.
  • Ability to speak effectively with various individuals, groups, and organizations.
  • Knowledge and experience with risk management and/or related applications (e.g., eMASS, ITIPS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of currently marketed security tools and technologies.
  • Ability to understand and assimilate complex technical information.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability and initiative to research and resolve problems with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functions.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
