Position Summary:

The Security Operations Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the client's security initiatives by enforcing and maintaining security protocols on-site. Reporting to the Security Lead, this position collaborates closely with security teams to evaluate potential risks and engage with client leadership effectively. The Security Operations Specialist is instrumental in ensuring operational security, physical safety, and logistical support for the client.

This role requires a balance of teamwork and independent work, with the ideal candidate thriving in a dynamic environment and adept at managing priorities to ensure a secure facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an armed active responder during critical incidents.
  • Act as the first responder for initial investigations and perform preliminary assessments.
  • Assist in emergency evacuations and crisis management protocols.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on active assailant response to foster a culture of preparedness.
  • Participate in crisis management teams to provide on-site support.
  • Facilitate communication between the company, client, and security personnel to ensure top-tier service delivery.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement for intelligence gathering and facility assessments.
  • Coordinate team responses for surveillance and threat detection.
  • Analyze Daily Activity Logs from security personnel to extract insights and share with the client's intelligence team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client contacts.
  • Engage in training sessions provided by the company as requested by the client.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including managing equipment.
  • Understand all client contract requirements and propose solutions for exceptional service.
  • Assist in the client's risk management efforts through regular audits and assessments.
  • Exhibit flexibility in completing various job-related tasks as assigned by the client.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to enhance and support the client's security operations, including investigative and protective measures.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with diverse groups, including executives and law enforcement.
  • Proven ability to manage daily operations while fostering long-term client relationships.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and database management.
  • Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships across departments.

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in active assailant prevention and response initiatives.
  • A minimum of 5 years in corporate or operational security, with military or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Completion of all mandatory training is required.
  • Experience in managing diverse teams is advantageous.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory for practical experience.
  • Must possess a valid state security license with authorization to carry a concealed firearm.

General Expectations:

This position may involve extended periods of standing, sitting, and movement. Candidates should be prepared for occasional exposure to extreme environmental conditions and may need to travel on short notice. The ideal candidate must be capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
