Position Overview

Salary: $10-$15 per hour

At Water Lily Learning Center, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of Early Childhood Professionals. Our educators play a vital role in creating engaging and interactive learning environments tailored for young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement enjoyable, age-appropriate educational activities in a safe and clean classroom setting.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff and leadership to meet objectives related to enrollment, accreditation, and community engagement.
  • Ensure the well-being of each child by adhering to all regulatory guidelines and company standards.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience in a licensed childcare facility is highly preferred.
  • Must fulfill the basic requirements set by local childcare regulatory agencies, including a background check.
  • Prior experience in an assistant teaching role within a licensed early childhood program, specifically with infants and toddlers.
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and developmental needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safe handling of children during activities and emergencies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a co-teaching environment with shared responsibilities.
Primary Duties:
  • Engage with and support quality standards as established by Water Lily Learning Center, SUTQ, and EHS.
  • Provide teaching support across various classrooms as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
  • Actively participate in all activities with children.
  • Assist in planning and preparing materials for daily activities for infants and toddlers.
  • Support the Lead Teacher in documenting observations and assessments to enhance lesson planning for child development.
  • Complete assigned tasks promptly to ensure the efficient operation of the program.
  • Utilize effective practices and positive discipline strategies to foster children's growth and resilience.
  • Adhere to the vision, mission, beliefs, and ethical standards of Water Lily Learning Center.
  • Maintain compliance with all policies and standards set by the organization.
  • Commit to obtaining required training hours and maintaining educational credentials necessary for employment in a childcare setting.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and prospective families to support child success.
