Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Coding Compliance Specialist to join our team at Sparrow Health System. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a coding quality review system for inpatient coders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a chart review system for inpatient coders.
- Perform chart reviews across multiple service lines, utilizing appropriate coding references and guidelines.
- Design and conduct effective training programs to support the Regional inpatient coding team.
- Partner with CDI to ensure documentation is accurate and complete for quality initiative programs.
- Communicate opportunities for improved workflow to IT and/or EPIC analysts.
- Identify and implement coding opportunities to maximize reimbursement.
- Maintain standardized compliance with Sparrow compliance policies.
- Certification as an RHIT or CCS through the American Health Information Management Association.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant coding experience.
- Associate's degree in HIM or relevant healthcare field.
