The Episcopal Academy is seeking a highly skilled Educational Technical Support Specialist to join our Technology Team. This role is crucial in providing technical support to our school community and ensuring the smooth operation of our technological resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for cloud-based student information systems, educational applications, and hardware and software configurations.
- Address technical issues and help desk requests promptly and courteously for students, faculty, staff, administration, guests, and parents.
- Maintain and support classroom technology, including Mac laptops, iPads, Smartboards, printers, projectors, Wi-Fi, and Apple TV.
- Provide audiovisual support for Board-level meetings and major fundraising events.
- Assist users with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office products, and maintain user hardware devices.
- Guide users to solve technical issues independently.
- Stay current with new software and hardware technologies.
- Collaborate with team members to advance Episcopal's educational mission.
Requirements
- Demonstrated strong working knowledge of educational software and tools.
- Proficiency with Macs, iPads, Windows devices, Smartboards, projectors, printers, and AV equipment.
- Knowledge of Mac OS X, iOS, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe products.
- Skills in navigating, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and patient attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively, emphasizing customer service, to clients and customers with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Minimum of three years in a technical support role within an academic setting.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
