Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our culinary team as a Line Cook at Hilton Garden Inn Pittsford. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare food orders on the line by cooking items to order, grilling, broiling, sautéing, and meeting all presentation guidelines and following standard recipes.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served.
  • Team Collaboration: Assemble a system of food stations and fill them with everything they need for the shift, and maintain work stations, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition per health and safety regulations.
  • Guest Interaction: Demonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with guests, vendors, and associates.
Requirements
  • Education: Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification such as a GED.
  • Work Experience: Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic.
  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers.
  • Industry Experience: Prior food service industry experience is highly desired.
  • Compliance: Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements.
