About the Role

Cortica is seeking a skilled Behavior Interventionist to join its team of dedicated professionals. As a Behavior Interventionist, you will play a vital role in providing direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior analytic services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences in 1:1 and group settings.
  • Provide services during regularly scheduled weekly sessions or substituting in for another teammate who has called out for their session during your work shift.
  • Assist with individualized assessment procedures through preference assessments and data collection.
  • Work with families and supervisor to establish an environment supportive of treatment and education across all settings of care.
  • Follow Cortica crisis and emergency procedures, including de-escalation strategies, first aid strategies, and mandated reporting.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children, preferably children with autism.
  • Bachelor's degree in a human service (or related) field; candidates with relevant work experience in lieu of bachelor's degree will be considered; students enrolled in undergraduate studies will also be considered.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain within the first 45 days of starting.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 7:00pm (hours subject to change based on Center requirements).
  • Valid California Driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.

The base pay range for this opening is $22.24 to $29.84, with compensation adjusted based on skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location.
