About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Special Investigations Unit (SIU) as a Director. As a key member of our Claims organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to prevent and detect fraud in our Property & Casualty Insurance business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fraud investigation strategy to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Lead a team of investigators to conduct thorough and timely investigations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement operational plans, policies, and procedures to support SIU objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to claims staff on fraud-related risk and investigative techniques.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including law enforcement agencies and industry associations.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in fraud investigation and risk management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in claims, law enforcement, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of direct team lead or management experience.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and developing effective strategies to prevent and detect fraud.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

USAA offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $230,400, depending on experience and location. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k), pension, life insurance, and paid time off.
