Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Safety Specialist to oversee and enhance our Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) initiatives. This role involves managing contracts that support the ESH organization, including hazardous waste management, environmental assessments, permitting, and emergency response protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure adherence to US EPA TSCA 5(e) regulations concerning the commercialization of new chemical substances.
2. Oversee safety evaluations of new chemicals through international regulatory frameworks.
3. Lead the site's safety committee, facilitating safety-related approvals, investigations, and initiatives.
4. Foster a strong ESH culture by promoting various performance improvement initiatives and engaging employees in safety activities.

Relationship Management:
Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and business partners to enhance program effectiveness and support the development and reporting of metrics and performance data.

Compliance and Reporting:
Manage the elements of the site's ESH management system, ensuring compliance with relevant ESH regulations, corporate policies, and customer requirements.
Coordinate the implementation of MFC and Corporate ESH assessment and recordkeeping programs.

Budget Management:
Support the management of the ESH organization's financial and capital budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other locations and represent the facility in working groups or new initiatives. Assist in reviewing existing processes and facilities to identify and address EHS concerns.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience interacting with Massachusetts environmental and safety regulatory agencies.
- Proven leadership experience in managing small teams.
- Background in planning and distributing tasks within a team.
- Familiarity with change management and planning related to ESH integration.
