Position Overview: The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound processing within the facility. This role is crucial for achieving operational efficiency and safety while managing both operational and personnel aspects to meet short-term objectives and enhance profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of supervisors overseeing inbound and outbound operations.
  • Ensure timely distribution and receipt of products while adhering to budgetary and quality standards.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at process improvement and continuous enhancement across the facility.
  • Provide effective leadership and engage with employees in both operational and administrative settings.
  • Translate business and cultural strategies into actionable initiatives for the department.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers to resolve issues, with potential travel requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly within HR, on a daily basis.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues and peers.
  • Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for supervisory and specialized roles.
  • Develop team members through training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Utilize systems to manage distribution operations and improve daily operational metrics.
  • Hold supervisors accountable for departmental KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage financial metrics including profit and loss and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
  • Inventory planning and processing experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel (including Pivot Tables).
  • Experience with ERPs (SAP or Manhattan) preferred.
  • Prior involvement in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in complex scenarios.
