We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Coding and Billing Expert to join our team at AAPC. In this role, you will work with a diverse range of projects, providing expertise in medical coding, billing, and revenue cycle management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately review medical records to ensure accuracy of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines.
  • Manage billing for multiple medical specialties, ensuring timely and accurate processing of claims.
  • Review, edit, and process claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with payer requirements.
  • Resolve claim denials and rejections in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to revenue cycle.
  • Support clients in managing their revenue cycle, from coding and billing to AR follow-up and reimbursement.
  • Conduct audits and manage payer payback projects, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
  • Meet production and quality benchmarks, ensuring high-quality work and timely delivery.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in medical coding and billing for professional services, with a focus on revenue cycle management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage and "own" entire projects, with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and internet tools, with ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
