Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and related tasks to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, and MRI
  • Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintain a demeanor conducive to quality care
  • Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality
  • Assess patient physical condition, age, and specific needs
  • Provide instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results
  • Acquire patient's clinical history and assure that the information is accurately documented
  • Position patient, equipment, associated devices, and manipulate technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation
  • Assess processed radiographs for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated
  • Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others
  • Comprehend and comply with Quality Control standards and participate in all Quality control tasks
  • Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies
  • Apply sterile techniques to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases
  • Assist in supervision of student technologists
  • Utilize Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately
  • Ensure safety of patients
Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida
  • Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
