Pediatric Radiology Technologist at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and related tasks to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including X-ray, CT, and MRI
- Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintain a demeanor conducive to quality care
- Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures
- Comply with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality
- Assess patient physical condition, age, and specific needs
- Provide instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results
- Acquire patient's clinical history and assure that the information is accurately documented
- Position patient, equipment, associated devices, and manipulate technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation
- Assess processed radiographs for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated
- Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others
- Comprehend and comply with Quality Control standards and participate in all Quality control tasks
- Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies
- Apply sterile techniques to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases
- Assist in supervision of student technologists
- Utilize Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately
- Ensure safety of patients
- Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
