About the Job

We are currently seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operational and service functions in a retail branch office.

The successful candidate will assist in developing new retail and commercial client relationships and expanding existing relationships using professional sales techniques to prospect, identify, and meet client needs and by providing high-quality service.

The Assistant Branch Manager will also coach branch staff to achieve referral goals, production goals, to meet branch profit plan, and to support a positive team atmosphere.

Key responsibilities include working with key representatives from all areas of the company to send and accept referrals, cross-selling products and services, referring clients to sales personnel in other business lines, accepting and processing retail and small business loan applications, ensuring compliance at all times for audit, compliance, and security issues, communicating and supporting the mission of the company, and completing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of retail sales banking experience, with previous supervisory experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of banking products and related laws and regulations is required, as well as knowledge of standard audit and security procedures.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively lead, coach, and motivate others, with intermediate personal computer skills using standard windows-based software and intermediate knowledge of the Metavante Banking System.

Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively supervise and guide others, with the ability to prepare business correspondence, prepare and summarize complex reports, write procedures, interpret complicated policies, and make productive business development calls.

The candidate must also have the ability to speak, read, and write English to effectively and professionally express ideas in both written and oral form.

Working Conditions

The work environment is a normal office setting with minimal discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, or other disagreeable elements.

The position requires little to no potential exposure to hazardous conditions, with the ability to travel to remote company and/or client locations.
