Organizational Development Assistant

The Organizational Development and Learning team at George Mason University is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented administrative assistant to support their team of learning and development professionals.
Responsibilities- Coordinate schedules and logistics, including managing multiple calendars to schedule workshops, events, and meetings;
- Manage multiple email inboxes and provide timely professional customer service to Mason faculty and staff across multiple departments;
- Utilize a Learning Management System (LMS) to post trainings, manage registrations, update content, and run reports;
- Provide technical support by serving as a point of contact for the Learning Management System;
- Assist with setup for in-person and virtual workshops/events/meetings and serve as moderator for virtual learning opportunities;
- Prepare training materials, including making copies, creating handouts, and typing notes;
- Provide information on Mason policies in concise, easy-to-understand language;
- Use Qualtrics to create, send, and synthesize learning evaluations and feedback;
- Other duties as assigned.
- General office experience, customer service, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Demonstrated experience with email management and email customer service;
- Experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom, including moderating group sessions;
- Effective interpersonal communication and customer service skills, including tact and diplomacy;
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines, follow through, and be flexible;
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Ability to collaborate with diverse individuals with differing needs at all levels of the organization;
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in a Human Resources setting;
- Higher education or public workforce experience;
- Experience with Learning Management Systems;
- Experience working with design tools such as Canva, Piktochart, and Adobe.
