POSITION SUMMARY:
The Membership Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the operational and customer service functions of our esteemed cultural institution. This position demands exceptional leadership and the ability to manage membership processes effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate the processing of membership applications and payments.
- Review submissions for completeness and ensure appropriate membership classification.
- Responsible for dispatching welcome communications, invoices, and receipts.
- Develop and implement strategies for launching and sustaining membership and volunteer initiatives, including outreach for member and volunteer opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to design and execute membership campaigns, ensuring timely and creative delivery.
- Oversee the maintenance of the membership database, including data entry, segmentation, and list management.
- Create compelling membership benefits and opportunities that attract new members while retaining current ones.
- Train and guide staff in effective membership promotion techniques and problem-solving strategies.
- Generate marketing materials and communications for members and guests, and coordinate Museum representation at community events.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of membership tiers and associated benefits, ensuring policies are up-to-date.
- Stay informed about upcoming exhibitions, events, and educational programs to relay pertinent information to members.
- Act as a liaison with the Women's Board, coordinating meetings and related programs.
- Manage volunteer requirements and responsibilities linked to membership and annual contributions.
- Provide insights on membership trends, sales, and projections to the Finance department.
- Collaborate with Museum leadership and department heads to enhance service delivery to staff, members, and guests.
- Work alongside team members to define and achieve overarching organizational goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a museum or cultural organization is preferred.
- Strong business acumen, including operational standards, budgeting, strategic planning, and personnel management.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively about art and culture.
- Significant experience in a museum membership or volunteer management role is essential.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial.
- Ability to connect diverse Museum content and communicate effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage positively with various stakeholders.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Adaptability to new challenges and responsibilities.
- A collaborative spirit that fosters teamwork across all staff levels.
