We are currently in search of a full-time Clinical Support Specialist to enhance our team.

Role Summary:

The Clinical Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting patients and the healthcare team at our designated health center, facilitating medical care as directed by nursing and medical personnel while adhering to the center's objectives and policies.

This position involves performing various responsibilities in alignment with established standards and any additional tasks assigned.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Conduct the patient intake process, including taking vital signs and performing vision and hearing assessments, while accurately documenting patient information in the electronic health record system.

2. Execute in-house laboratory tests, ensuring quality control and proper maintenance of medical equipment in accordance with organizational protocols.

3. Collect blood samples and other specimens as instructed by healthcare providers, processing them appropriately.

4. Carry out routine laboratory tests in areas such as serology, hematology, and chemistry using standard methodologies and equipment.

5. Prepare examination rooms and necessary equipment, assisting during patient examinations and treatments.

6. Maintain clinical areas in an organized and stocked condition, ensuring that all materials are current and disposing of outdated supplies responsibly.

7. Clean and sterilize all medical equipment, maintaining logs in accordance with organizational policies and manufacturer guidelines.

8. Perform basic administrative tasks, including answering phone calls professionally and communicating any issues to nursing staff.

9. Ensure that all relevant logs are kept up to date, maintaining records for laboratory tests.

10. Conduct electrocardiograms (EKGs) as required.


Educational Requirements:


- Minimum: High School diploma/GED with a Medical Assistant Training Certificate.

- Preferred: Associate's degree with a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant Certificate.
