Job Summary
The City of Hampton, VA is seeking a highly skilled Social Media Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our communications department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media initiatives that engage and inform our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies that align with our organizational goals
- Manage and maintain our social media presence across multiple platforms
- Create and curate high-quality content that resonates with our audience
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics to inform future strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency and accuracy across all communications channels
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Marketing, Graphics, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in social media and web or blog site management
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
