Automotive Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Accounting Admin to join our team at Day 1 Auto Group. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and communicating with department managers to resolve outstanding receivables.
Key Responsibilities:- Input business transactions into subsidiary accounts in appropriate ledgers.
- Reconcile monthly factory statements and balance accounts and schedules daily.
- Communicate with department managers to resolve outstanding receivables weekly.
- Calculate and balance sales department wages.
- Manage Accounts Receivable, receipts in dealer reserves, and prepares and mails monthly statements to customers.
- Post daily bank contracts and car deals into accounting and verify information and numbers accurately on each car deal entered.
- Process incoming cancellations received from individuals or lending institutions and answer incoming phone calls as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and neat work area.
- Three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Dealership experience preferred but not necessarily required.
- Reynolds experience preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and commissions.
- Ability to navigate Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and other paperless software and document storage systems.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have authorization to work in the US.
- Must be able to proficiently use a 10-key or calculator.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, as needed.
