Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Home Depot. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in driving sales and profitability, while ensuring exceptional customer service and a positive store experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Sales: Supervise and motivate sales associates to deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales growth, and maintain a high level of in-stock position and store appearance.
  • Associate Supervision: Interview, hire, train, develop, and coach store associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales goals.
  • Operations Management: Supervise front-end and back-end processes, including sales and return transactions, receiving and freight teams, and daily financial operations to ensure efficient and effective store operations.
  • Business Analysis and Merchandise Planning: Analyze sales trends, work with key partners to plan merchandise placement and signing, and support stock integrity through inventory management processes.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of retail management experience, with a focus on customer service, sales, and operations management.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of sales associates.
  • Certifications: None required.
