Position Overview:

This position focuses on supporting the Store Manager in formulating strategies aimed at enhancing store sales and profitability. Trainees will develop effective leadership skills and communication techniques to guide their team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service Excellence: Oversee customer service initiatives by supervising team members in sales efforts, ensuring product availability, and maintaining an organized store environment. Trainees will learn essential strategies for staffing, scheduling, and addressing customer concerns.
  • Team Supervision: Engage in the hiring, training, motivating, and coaching of store associates. Trainees will understand the performance management process, including conducting performance reviews and managing disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Operational Management: Supervise front-end processes, including sales and returns, while also managing back-end operations such as receiving and stocking merchandise. Trainees will gain proficiency in store equipment and financial operations, as well as compliance with safety standards.
  • Business Analysis: Drive department profitability by analyzing sales trends and collaborating with key partners to optimize merchandise placement and inventory management.

Reporting Structure:

The Assistant Store Manager in Training will report directly to the Store Manager and will gradually take on supervisory responsibilities over associates as training progresses.

Travel Requirements:

Minimal overnight travel is expected, typically less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

This role primarily involves sitting, with opportunities for movement. Occasionally, there may be a need to lift light items.

Working Environment:

The position is based in a comfortable indoor setting, with infrequent exposure to unpleasant conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least eighteen years old.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
