Position Overview:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Utilizes radiologic machinery to generate images for procedural assistance under physician oversight.
  • Implements measures to reduce radiation exposure for both staff and patients.
  • Contributes to radiology quality assurance and enhancement initiatives.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Prepares procedure rooms with necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Engages in performance improvement data collection activities.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols as outlined by facility policies under the guidance of the Governing Board.
  • Employs radiation protection methods, including the use of restrictive devices and patient shielding techniques, while being knowledgeable about relevant exposure factors.
  • Utilizes personal protective equipment, such as lead aprons, as necessary.
  • Safely operates, maneuvers, and positions radiologic equipment.
  • Establishes and employs appropriate techniques and protocols as required.
  • Responsible for the secure operation of radiologic machinery.
  • Maintains cleanliness of equipment and replenishes procedure room supplies as needed.
  • Diagnoses equipment issues and informs the supervisor of any malfunctions.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Environmental conditions may vary based on the assigned work area and specific tasks. Potential exposures include but are not limited to:
