RN Supervisor Overview

We are excited to present a remarkable opportunity to work in a picturesque environment located in the scenic hills of North Salem, within a *5 Star Rated* facility in Westchester County, renowned for delivering exceptional care and resident satisfaction. The Waterview Hills Campus encompasses both Waterview Hills and Salem Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare, two establishments dedicated to providing superior Subacute Rehabilitation and Long-Term Skilled Nursing Care. Together, these facilities ensure that patients receive the finest rehabilitation and nursing services following their hospital discharge.

  • The RN Supervisor is responsible for organizing, overseeing, and supervising the activities and staff assignments within the designated unit, demonstrating clinical expertise that aligns with established Nursing Practice standards.
  • This role requires the RN Supervisor to identify and respond promptly and appropriately to the needs of patients.
  • Responsibilities include monitoring, observing, and documenting vital signs, treatments administered, and patient responses.
  • The RN Supervisor will administer medications and treatments as necessary.
  • Effective communication and direction of services, plans, concerns, and information to relevant team members, residents, families, or medical staff are essential.
  • Adherence to disciplinary actions as outlined in policy is required.
  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and other service providers is a key aspect of this role.
  • Conducting RN assessments for residents following incidents or changes in condition is necessary.
  • Leading and directing emergency situations, such as fire alarms or elopement, is part of the responsibilities.
  • Maintaining accurate nursing reports, staffing sheets, and census rosters is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN License in the State of New York.
  • Previous experience with geriatric, short-term rehabilitation, or Alzheimer's patients is preferred.
  • Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting, with supervisory experience being advantageous.
  • A commitment to providing extraordinary, quality, and compassionate care to each resident.
  • A genuine interest in assisting ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally distressed, and sometimes challenging residents.
  • Patience and a willingness to support residents and colleagues are essential.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills are required.
  • Able to perform well under pressure, adaptable, and capable of working harmoniously with all staff members.
  • *Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC.
