Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Supervisor to join our team at Waterview Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our units, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents, and leading a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and oversee unit activities and staff assignments to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practice and adherence to established standards of nursing care.
  • Identify and respond to patient needs in a timely and appropriate manner, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, treatments administered, and patient responses, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records.
  • Administer medications and treatments as needed, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Lead and direct emergency situations, such as fire alarms or elopements, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
  • Maintain accurate nursing reports, staffing sheets, and census rosters, providing essential data for quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Current and active RN license in the State of New York.
  • Previous experience in geriatric or short-term rehabilitation settings, with a focus on Alzheimer's care.
  • Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional, quality care to each resident, with a genuine interest in helping those in need.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
