Job Summary:


Allegion is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to join our team at our Technical Glass Products facility in Snoqualmie, WA. As a Material Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing process by verifying the correct materials and quantities are supplied to the machining team.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Verify and stage inventory for machining, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of materials.




  • Perform daily data entry to allocate inventory against Pick Lists and other usage, maintaining accurate records and reports.




  • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts, update inventory locations, and ensure material is correctly identified and stored.




  • Research and resolve material-related problems, communicating with internal stakeholders to expedite shortages and ensure timely delivery.




  • Print part labels, Pick Lists, and BOM (Bill of Materials) and other key documents, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.




  • Offload material from containers, trucks, and other vehicles, moving to appropriate locations for further processing.




  • Unpack, label, and stock materials and consumables in accordance with storage requirements, maintaining a clean and organized work area.




  • Complete all necessary documentation pertaining to inventory movement and transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.




  • Maintain work areas according to 5S principles, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.




  • Fulfill assigned specific daily and weekly job assignments as outlined by supervisor, meeting departmental and company goals.




  • Visually inspect materials, following disposal standard operating procedures, and ensuring compliance with company policies.




  • Support inventory, picking, cycle counting, and other material distribution in the facility as needed, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.




  • Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures to support machining activities, contributing to process improvements and efficiency.




  • Understand and comply with all appropriate safety and work safety regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.




  • Continuously maintain a clean work area, including the cleanup and disposal of trash, production scrap, and material drop-off, and assist in cleaning common areas.




  • Ensure all opened profile bundles are securely strapped, adhering to company policies and procedures.




  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.




Requirements:




  • Forklift experience is essential.




  • 2+ years of experience in material distribution, inventory, supply chain, or manufacturing is preferred.




  • Strong data entry, computer skills, and ability to learn new software applications quickly.




  • Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and prioritizing multiple tasks along with meeting deadlines.




  • Ability to navigate Material Resource Planning / Enterprise Resource Planning type systems (MRP/ERP) and Microsoft Office applications, with experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 a plus.




  • Ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools and equipment, including table saws and nail guns.




  • Ability to set rigging and operate lifts and small cranes as needed to perform work.




  • Excellent Customer Service Skills, displaying a professional 'can do' attitude.




  • Consistently demonstrate independent judgment and initiative, driven self-starter dedicated to continuous process improvement.




  • Detail-oriented, accurate, dependable, and willing to accept a wide variety of assignments.




  • Good verbal and written communication skills.




  • Strong math skills.




  • Follow all safety requirements and keep work area clean and orderly.




Working Environment:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly in an environment where heavy work is required and where moderate to loud noise occurs. The employee is in an assembly plant/warehouse environment that can be dusty. May be working around welding operations. Overhead work may be required. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, twist, bend, lift, and move heavy objects (up to 70 pounds) and occasionally lift and move very heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the work day. Production aids such as tilting assembly tables, overhead cranes, and forklifts can be used for these tasks. Personal protective equipment will be required and provided. In addition, the individual in this job will be working under time pressure and must be able to perform under stress. They must be able to work rapidly for long periods and to communicate and interact with others. They also must be able to perform multiple concurrent tasks, read and comprehend the material they read. The employee must be able to write and problem solve. 40+ hours per week will typically be necessary to accomplish performance objectives and to provide satisfactory job presence and/or responsiveness.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experiences.



  • The expected Base Hourly Range: $18.17 - $30.24. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
