About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Specialist to join our team at Select Physical Therapy. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients have an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive at our center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Advocacy: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule patient appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care.
  • Financial Management: Collect co-pays, manage patient payments, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
  • Communication: Respond to requests for information from patients, providers, and coworkers in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1 year of scheduling experience and 1 year of front desk experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in computer programs.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to Walk and Stand: Ability to walk and stand consistently throughout a workday/shift.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to type (including 10-key) throughout a workday/shift.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics.
  • Visual Acuity: Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction.
  • Speech and Hearing: Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
