Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - Mammography, you will operate dedicated and specialized mammography radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images of the breast and associated tissue. You will work under general supervision to formulate and calculate techniques, position patients, and critique radiographs to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mammography equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Formulate and calculate techniques to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Position patients to obtain optimal images
  • Critique radiographs to identify normal and abnormal tissue
  • Recognize and respond to abnormal findings
  • Document clinical activities accurately and comprehensively
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other clinicians to clarify orders and questionable images
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist, including performance of routine mammographic examinations
  • Current certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist - Mammography (CRT-M)
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Ability to demonstrate and apply knowledge of radiologic and mammographic techniques, breast anatomy, and pathology
  • Ability to perform Quality Control/Assurance functions required for mammography
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Advanced certification in Mammography (ARRT-M)
