About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Maine Veterinary Medical Center. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care during pre-op, procedure, and post-op periods
  • Monitor anesthesia for patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Maintain a sterile environment and assist with surgical instruments and equipment
  • Perform routine and advanced treatments and procedures
  • Provide comfort, love, and skilled care to patients
  • Keep patient families updated with medical and financial status

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital
  • Current Maine Veterinary Technician License or the ability to obtain one
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Clinical skills, including excellent anesthesia experience
  • Detail-oriented and well organized
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Self-motivated
  • Team-oriented
