Key Responsibilities:

The following duties are essential to this role. Additional tasks may be assigned at the discretion of the Company.

  • Apply professional expertise to uphold the Company's safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and state regulations while demonstrating diligence and commitment.
  • Conduct on-site installation, validation, and commissioning of machinery and molds, as well as troubleshoot and repair existing equipment in the field, adhering to Company standards and exercising professional judgment to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize independent judgment to foster and maintain positive customer relationships while exhibiting professionalism in all communications.
  • Leverage available resources to deliver effective customer service, employing a systematic approach to resolve machinery and mold issues, including reference materials, manuals, and collaboration with other service team members.
  • Provide troubleshooting and telephone support to clients as necessary.
  • Instruct plant maintenance and management personnel on the safe operation and upkeep of equipment.
  • Assist the Technical Service Center (TSC) with tasks such as molding trials, sampling, and preparation for shipping machinery, molds, and ancillary equipment.
  • Build relationships with the Company's International Sales, Service, and Design Departments to obtain solutions for field-related challenges, striving for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular, comprehensive, and organized service and expense reports. Establish and maintain record-keeping systems to ensure accountability for working hours.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of experience with Injection Stretch Blow Molding machines or 5 years in a similar plastics industry role.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities with a strong background in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex machinery issues, capable of engaging professionally with all levels of client staff.
  • Problem-Solving Skills - Effectively identifies and resolves issues promptly; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; collaborates well in group problem-solving scenarios; exercises discretion and judgment in challenging situations.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Adobe, and general internet skills.
  • Ability to interpret and understand technical documents, including operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and electrical/hydraulic schematics, using professional knowledge and judgment.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Demonstrates organizational support by adhering to policies and procedures, completing administrative tasks accurately and timely, and respecting diversity and organizational values.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring the preparation of detailed service and expense reports and maintaining effective record-keeping systems.
  • Effective oral communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly and listening actively.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and informative documents, edit for accuracy, and present data effectively.
