About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Body Shop Painter to join our team at Tom Hesser Dealerships. As a key member of our service department, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional results and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and apply paint to repaired vehicles, ensuring a high-quality finish and attention to detail.
  • Mix and apply paint colors using our state-of-the-art PPG mixing system, ensuring accurate and consistent results.
  • Perform final sanding, masking, color mixing, and tinting, as well as operate prep stations, apply primers, sealers, color, and clear coats.
  • Inspect painted vehicles before final inspection by the Body Shop Manager, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Communicate repair status clearly to the Body Shop Manager, providing timely updates and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Document all materials used, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, factory, and dealership protocols when performing warranty work.
  • Understand and comply with Federal, State, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in automotive painting, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a completion of a vocational program preferred but not required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with good communication and organizational skills.
  • Clean and valid driver's license, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
